About the Role

Temp Role | Day Rate: Equivalent to a £40,000 salary | Initial 12-week contract, likely extension

Are you an on-trade drinks professional with a passion for sales, customer relationships and driving growth? This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, fast-growing B2B drinks marketplace on an initial 12-week temporary contract, with a likely extension.

You’ll play a key role in converting new and lapsed customers into active, loyal buyers, helping pubs, bars and hospitality venues get the most out of a smarter way to buy drinks. Combining proactive outbound sales with account development and customer engagement, you’ll help drive repeat orders, increase basket spend and improve the overall customer journey.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of outbound campaigns targeting new, partially registered, never-ordered and lapsed customers, understanding what’s preventing them from ordering and finding ways to get them back on board.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Winning new customers: Proactively contacting new outlets via phone, email and other channels, converting prospects into active accounts.
  • Driving repeat business: Supporting customers from registration through to their first order and establishing regular reordering habits.
  • Reactivating lapsed accounts: Identifying customers whose ordering frequency has declined and using account and basket data to prioritise opportunities.
  • Growing customer spend: Encouraging range extension, seasonal purchases and increased engagement with customer loyalty and reward tiers.
  • Improving the customer journey: Identifying registration issues, common barriers to ordering and reasons customers disengage.
  • Working cross-functionally: Collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, Product and Procurement to resolve issues, address product gaps and improve the customer experience.
  • Sharing customer insights: Recording call outcomes, tracking recurring issues and feeding back customer trends to help improve the platform and service.

About You

You’ll be a confident, approachable communicator who enjoys building relationships and getting results. You’ll combine a warm telephone manner with strong listening, sales and negotiation skills, and have the patience and persistence to turn customer conversations into commercial opportunities.

You’ll also bring:

  • Essential experience within the on-trade drinks industry, with strong knowledge of drinks products and categories.
  • A proven ability to engage customers, influence buying decisions and drive sales.
  • Confidence conducting outbound calls and following up on opportunities.
  • A commercially minded approach to customer retention, reactivation and account growth.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to track activity, identify trends and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Confidence using digital platforms and working in a fast-paced, evolving business.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact within an ambitious business that is changing how the UK drinks trade operates. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, helping to strengthen customer relationships, improve engagement and drive commercial growth.

Contract details:

  • Duration: Initial 12 weeks, with a likely extension.
  • Day rate: Equivalent to a £40,000 annual salary, pro rata.
  • Industry experience: On-trade drinks experience and strong product knowledge are essential.
  • Start: As soon as possible.

If you know the on-trade drinks market inside out and enjoy turning customer relationships into long-term commercial success, we’d love to hear from you.
