About the Role

As Night Shift Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for overseeing night shift operations to ensure the smooth, efficient production of high-quality products. You’ll lead and support your team, ensuring resources and equipment are optimally utilised to meet production targets and maintain a ‘Right First-Time’ approach. You’ll also act as the key point of contact for any operational issues during the night shift.

 

This role is critical to maintaining site performance and embedding a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with other functions to ensure operational flexibility across engineering, logistics, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate night shift operations to meet production plans and KPIs
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the team
  • Build strong relationships across departments and functions
  • Role model company values and behaviours
  • Ensure compliance with site processes and procedures
  • Manage labour planning and working time using SAP
  • Support training and development of team members
  • Conduct appraisals, return-to-work interviews, and manage attendance

About You

We’re looking for someone with proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within FMCG. You’ll be confident managing teams, driving performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and improvement. Experience in a unionised setting is advantageous.

You’ll need:

  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • A proactive approach to safety and compliance
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with SAP or similar systems
